Terrelle Pryor Released by Seahawks: Latest Details and Reaction

The Seattle Seahawks have reportedly released Terrelle Pryor as the team makes its final roster cuts, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network (via the NFL's official Twitter feed):

The 25-year-old's tenure in Seattle is ending just as it was about to start. He was traded to the Super Bowl champions in April for a seventh-round pick with the chance to earn the third-string quarterback job behind starter Russell Wilson and backup Tarvaris Jackson. 
Pryor appeared in all four of the Seahawks' preseason games but failed to earn any worthwhile playing time in Weeks 2 and 3 after a shaky opener against Denver. He got plenty of action in Thursday night's preseason finale against the Oakland Raiders, his former team, and impressed with 11 completions on 17 attempts for 134 yards and a touchdown late in a 41-31 defeat.
