The Lions’ Draft Day: Ways of Making the Detroit System Better

What if this scenario presented itself on draft day?

With the first pick in the draft, the St. Louis Rams select Sam Bradford .

With the second pick in the draft the Detroit Lions select Ndamukong Suh .

With the third pick the Tampa Bay Buccaneers select Gerald McCoy .

With the fourth pick the Washington Redskins  select Russell Okung .

With the fifth pick in the draft we have a trade: The Kansas City Chiefs select Eric Berry .

The Kansas City Chiefs have traded Glenn Dorsey and Eric Berry for Ndamukong Suh and a 2011 5th round pick.

The positives here are the Lions are getting (possibly) two players that fit the system.  In case anyone forgot, in 2008 Glenn Dorsey was touted the same way McCoy and Suh have been this year. He's playing 3-4 defensive end (in Kansas City) and it isn't working for him.
