The San Diego Chargers Aren’t Learning Their Lesson

That should be the new San Diego Chargers creed after their recent actions of releasing veteran running back and former MVP LaDainian Tomlinson. The Chargers may soon be singing a familiar tune when it comes to releasing a player because of physical issues.
At the end of the 2005 season, the Chargers would let go a quarterback they believed to have a bum shoulder and was just going to end up a bust if they signed him. Who was that quarterback, you might ask? None other than Super Bowl Champion and MVP Drew Brees.
Since he left San Diego, Brees has had no less than 4,388 yards and 26 touchdowns. He also had an unbelievable 2008, in which he passed for a near record breaking 5,069 yards and 34 touchdowns.
Of course, he capped his career off this season with a unexpected Super Bowl appearance against the Colts. He made the most of it by overcoming the odds to win the game.
I would not be surprised if Tomlinson ends up with a quality team that in the next few years wins...
