Tim Tebow Circus Shouldn’t Scare NFL Teams Away from QB

If Tim Tebow negatively influences an NFL locker room, he’s not the problem.
Tebow the quarterback has his critics.
Michael Silver of Yahoo! Sports reported that Bill Belichick “hates” Tebow as a player. Warren Moon told KILT-AM in Houston that he doesn’t believe Tebow throws well enough for the CFL (via ESPN). Despite the fact that their other options are Chad Henne and Blaine Gabbert, even Jacksonville Jaguars fans don't want Tebow (at least the Bold City Brigade, who created Evenifhesreleased.com, doesn’t).
A front office’s lack of interest in Tebow is justified if fueled by a belief that the QB can’t improve their team. A lack of interest due to a fear of Tebow’s “cult-like” and media “circus” following causing a distraction—which is what Silver’s report suggests is extinguishing teams’ interest in Tebow—isn’t.
