Tom Brady and New England Patriots Reportedly Close To an Extension

The Boston Herald reports that Tom Brady and the New England Patriots are close to an extension of three years for $58 million, which could be signed as early as tomorrow morning. The newspaper cites sources close to the negotiations.
Hate to say I told you so. Just kidding, no I don't.
Especially not this time.
Before we all get too excited, let's remember that it was the Boston Herald that first broke reports of a supposed Super Bowl XXXVI Spygate tape containing video surveillance of walk-throughs before the game.
Tapes that never surfaced.
John Tomase, the writer who broke that falsified story, still writes for the paper, but it was Ian Rapoport who broke this story.
With several other contracts on the docket—including Randy Moss, who just this morning verbally stated his frustrations for lack of a contract extension—Brady's appeared to be the No. 1 priority among the organization, and its fans.
