Tramon Williams delivered a huge play at the very end of the first half, giving his Green Bay Packers a comfortable 14 point lead heading into the locker room of their NFC Divisional Playoff game against the top seeded Atlanta Falcons.
Williams returned an ill-advised Matt Ryan pass towards the left sideline 70 yards, bringing the ball up the sideline at first, then cutting between a hapless Matt Ryan and his tight end Tony Gonzalez and taking it comfortably down the field for an uncontested pick-six. The touchdown made it 28-14 in favor of Green Bay, after they had fallen behind 14-7 early in the second quarter.
Williams did make it a little close to Leon Lett or DeSean Jackson territory at the end of his run, as he slowed down as the goal line approached and Falcons wide receiver Michael Jenkins closed in on the decelerating Williams. But crisis was averted as Williams' teammate Nick Collins threw a little block at the end to ensure safe passage into the end zone.
