The New York Jets have been forced to look for depth at quarterback in veteran Tyler Thigpen after they lost quarterback Geno Smith for six to 10 weeks Tuesday after he was punched by linebacker IK Enemkpali in a locker room altercation that resulted in a broken jaw, per the New York Post's Brian Costello.

Jets Deny They'll Work Out Thigpen Tuesday, August 11 ESPN's Josina Anderson reported the Jets don't plan to work out Thigpen, after ESPN.com's Dianna Marie Russini reported earlier the team had interest in him.  Anderson added the team planned to go into their first preseason game "with the three arms that we have."
