Vikings Giants: Updates on Possible Destinations for the Rescheduled Game

Vikings Giants remains in a complete state of uncertainty after the Metrodome's roof collapsed this morning, making it impossible for the two teams to play their rescheduled Week 14 game there on Monday night, as had previously been announced.

First the potential alternative of playing at the new football stadium of the University of Minnesota was presented, but the problem frequently mentioned with that possibility was the fact that the Giants traveled to Minnesota expecting to play in a dome. Therefore they did not bring any of the necessary outdoor gear needed to play outdoors, complicating matters and potentially eliminating TCF Bank Stadium from consideration.
In terms of nearby domed stadiums, there is Detroit's Ford Field, Indianapolis' Lucas Oil Stadium, and St. Louis' Edward Jones Dome. These are geographically the closest NFL indoor stadiums, with Detroit being 690 miles from Minneapolis, Indianapolis 590 miles away, and St. Louis 562 miles.
