Vince Young Announces His Release from the Green Bay Packers on Twitter

The Green Bay Packers and Vince Young have parted ways, and the quarterback took to Twitter to thank the organization for an opportunity to win the backup job behind Aaron Rodgers. 
Adam Caplan of ESPN reported Young had signed a one-year deal with no guaranteed money.
With Young out of the picture, B.J. Coleman has emerged from the preseason battle to become the backup for Rodgers. The 2012 seventh-round pick out of Chattanooga has made enough progress for the Packers to put their faith in him after cutting Graham Harrell earlier in the preseason.
Interestingly, Young outplayed Coleman during the preseason.
The former Tennessee Titans signal-caller completed 53.1 percent of his passes for 218 yards and one touchdown. He also didn't throw any interceptions, a problem during the early stages of his career.
