Week 8 NFL Odds: Chiefs Favored By a Touchdown Over Bills

Don’t look now, but the Kansas City Chiefs are leading the AFC West division with a 4-2 record. We’re talking about a team that only won four games all of last season. The Chiefs have obviously made huge strides under second-year head coach Todd Haley.
Kansas City whacked Jacksonville 42-20 in Week 7, and it will have an excellent opportunity to build on that victory with winless Buffalo coming to town this week. In fact, NFL oddsmakers have listed the Chiefs as a 7.5-point favorite with the total set at 44.5.
The Bills are yet to find the win column, but they deserve a lot of credit for last Sunday’s performance at Baltimore. Buffalo put up over 500 yards of offense on a defense that ranks in the top 10 annually. Buffalo wasn’t able to hang on to its early 17-3 lead, but giving a Super Bowl contender a major scare on its home field is nothing to be ashamed about. Perhaps Buffalo can make it over the hump this week.
