Who Is Replacing Alan Faneca?

The Jets created a big hole along their offensive line by cutting perennial pro-bowl guard Alan Faneca this off-season. 
The big question facing the Jets now is who is going to fill Faneca's shoes? Currently, there are two options on the Jets roster: last year's sixth round pick Matt Slauson and this years second round pick Vladimir Ducasse.
The conventional wisdom says Ducasse has the upper hand because he was a second round pick. However I think Slauson has the inside edge having played for a year behind Faneca and being a four year starter at Nebraska.  
The Jets are saying it is going to be a pretty open competition between Slauson and Ducasse for the left guard spot, with the loser filling in as a depth player and both guard positions.
Right now the Jets are going to give Slauson every opportunity to take the starting spot, as many in the Jets organization think Ducasse needs some time to develop before he is ready to play eve...
