2009 NFL Season in Review: Week 15

The Eagles played host to the San Francisco 49ers in Week Fifteen with large mounds of snow in the parking lot and freezing temperatures in the stadium. Despite the poor weather, the Birds knew that they could clinch a playoff birth with a victory.
Keeping that in mind, the Eagles came out with an impressive opening drive on offense that resulted in DeSean Jackson finding the end zone on a 19 yard reception from Donovan McNabb. The Eagles took the early lead but the Niners didn’t wait too long to respond. Joe Nedney knocked down a 51 yard field goal to make the score 7-3. The rest of the quarter would move along slowly, but things picked up in the second quarter.
In the second quarter, the Eagles pieced together a nice drive and capped it with a touchdown on an eight yard McNabb rushing touchdown. The Eagles offense continued to find success moving the football in the second quarter but failed to convert it into any touchdowns. David Akers tacked on two field goal...
