Len Pasquarelli, ESPN—While he notes that Suh has the makeup to be a special talent, Pasquarelli cites past drafts as enough reason to at least consider taking a defensive tackle at the top of the first round.
It’s hard to argue with some of the points makes, such as, “Indeed, the last franchise to win a championship with a first-round 4-3 tackle who was a Pro Bowl performer was Tampa Bay with Warren Sapp in 2002.”
Mike Mayock, ESPN—Believing Detroit will select the imposing lineman, Mayock thinks Suh won’t provide the pass-rush spark of McCoy but he could have the same type of presence Albert Haynesworth had for Jim Schwartz ‘s defense in Tennessee.
