2010 NFL Free Agency: Should the New York Jets Go After Julius Peppers?

In two days, we will witness the actual beginning of this year's NFL offseason with the opening of free agency.
What was thought to be a weak crop this year has become more deep, especially on the offensive side of the ball.
With the league set for an uncapped season, many of the elite teams, along with those in rebuilding mode, are letting top players who were due a large sum of money leave.
Where does this bring us? The destination is in New York, with the AFC runner-up New York Jets.
The New York papers have been naming every possibility of how the Jets can improve on last season's performance, where under rookie head coach Rex Ryan "Gang Green" was the number one defense in all of football.
The average fan will look to see improvement on the offensive side of the ball, but should instead be looking towards the defensive side.
Even with the top defense last year, gaping holes still remain on the defensive line and secondary.
