2010 Philadelphia Eagles: Evaluating the Linebackers and Their 2011 Prospects

After a lot of poor play from the Eagles linebackers in 2009, things seemed to be looking up with the return of a healthy Stewart Bradley in 2010. Although there was more consistency out of the middle linebacker position in 2010, it still wasn’t an overly impressive year for the linebackers.
Along with the return of Bradley, the Eagles brought in Ernie Sims to play on the weakside. Sims seemed like a solid addition, as the Eagles didn’t have to give up a whole lot to get the former top-10 draft pick. Early in training camp, it looked like Sims was going to be solid as he received a lot of praise from Sean McDermott and was told he was being overly aggressive.
For the Eagles opener, Sims and Bradley were joined by Akeem Jordan at the strong side, but he was eventually replaced by a more physical Moise Fokou who ended up starting the majority of the season.
