2011 NFL Draft: Carolina Panthers to Work out QB Ryan Mallett Tuesday

The Carolina Panthers are scheduled to hold a private workout with former Arkansas University quarterback Ryan Mallett Tuesday, according to the National Football Post.
While the scouting reports indicate that Mallet (6'6'', 238 pounds) has a rocket arm and all the tools to succeed at the next level, character concerns stemming from alleged drug and alcohol use have raised red flags in some potential suitors’ eyes.
Mallett has improved every year at the college level, completing 43.3 percent of his passes as a freshman, 55.8 as a sophomore and 64.7 as a junior.
In his second season, the Michigan transfer threw 30 touchdowns and just seven interceptions for the Razorbacks while throwing for 3,627 yards.
As a junior, he completed 266 of 411 attempts for 3,869 yards, 32 scores and 12 picks, leading Arkansas to the Sugar Bowl.
