2011 NFL Draft: San Diego Chargers Opt to Improve Defense with Cameron Jordan

While the San Diego Chargers could use some help on the offensive side of the ball with an offensive tackle or a wide receiver, they will use the pick on the best available player, which is Cameron Jordan.
While a lot of analysts have Muhammad Wilkerson on the rise, Jordan will be the selection here for San Diego.
Jordan has a bit more athleticism than Wilkerson, and has a bit more upside.  Jordan played in a 3-4 scheme at California and should feel comfortable adjusting to San Diego's defensive scheme.
He is a strong and athletic player, that should be able to make an immediate impact at the NFL level.  Jordan is the big winner here, as he lands in the Top 20 and gets to stay close to home.
If the Chargers do decide to look at selecting an offensive lineman with this pick, Gabe Carimi or Nate Solder could be the selection.
