2011 NFL Mock Draft Unanimously Puts Blaine Gabbert in Arizona at No. 5 in NFL Draft
The Arizona Cardinals are far from being ready to compete and their quarterback position is a legitimate mess.
I think adding another rookie to the mix is a big mistake, but they cannot get by with what they have and there is the chance they miss out on a veteran with starting ability.
Defensively they have needs that can be addressed with this pick, but with Von Miller off the board they have to make a decision between LSU's Patrick Peterson and Missouri's Blaine Gabbert.

I could also see Arizona getting creative and looking for a veteran arm such as Kolb, but Gabbert is the quarterback in the draft most likely to help a team soonest, and if he's available here, it might be tough for Arizona to pass on him.
