Cameron Jordan Is Just the Kind of Guy the Patriots' Defense Needs
With the kind of offense the New England Patriots had in 2010, all the defense really had to do was hold the line. This is something they did quite well considering the amount of youth they had on the defensive side of the ball, but adding another talented young player is hardly the worst thing the Pats could do with their No. 17 pick.
One player that has always seemed like a perfect fit for New England's defense is Cal defensive end Cameron Jordan, and he should be there for the taking when the Pats are on the clock.
What the Pats would be getting in Jordan is a guy who's a freakishly gifted athlete who projects as a perfect 3-4 defensive end. Jordan has tended to look better in practice than he does in actual games, but he's got the kind of agility and power that simply cannot be held under wraps for very long.
