2011 NFL Mock Draft Nick Fairley Newest Titan in Tennessee
The Titans need to add a defensive tackle and they luckily land one of the early steals of the draft. Nick Fairley’s stock has fallen since the combine as Marcell Dareus appeared to out-do him, but game film shows that Fairley can be a great defensive tackle in the NFL. He has the type of mean streak every coach wants to see.
He was questioned throughout the year about his work ethic and motor, but I never saw any reasons to justify those concerns. Fairley’s stock should not be dropping this much, although I do understand concerns that he could be a one-hit wonder. Still, Fairley was the destructive force for a rather average supporting cast at Auburn.
