2011 NFL Mock Draft: Why Jake Locker Tops Ryan Mallett at No. 1

Yes, I know... the 2010 NFL Draft is barely over and we're already talking about the 2011 selections. But this is the NFL, and teams still have plenty of needs they have not yet addressed. Let me lay a foundation for these picks. First, I'm placing all 32 teams into a hypothetical first round without assuming any trades or multiple first-round selections; I know New England has two first and second round picks already, but for the purposes of putting together a 2011 mock draft this early we'll stick with all 32 teams being represented. Secondly, the only part of the order in which I hope fans focus (and complain about) is the end. I do think the Super Bowl will be the Jets over the Cowboys in early February 2011, but that's on April 25. The rest of the draft order is more of a gut-based power rankings based on schedule strength, roster, and divisional depth/potential standings.
