2011 NFL Playoff Schedule: Seahawks Win, Clinch Home Playoff Game
The Seattle Seahawks defeated the St. Louis Rams Sunday, 16-6, to capture the NFC West crown and advance to the first round of the playoffs against the New Orleans Saints.
The Seahawks, because they're division winners, will play at home against the Saints in the first round.
Highlighting the win was backup quarterback Charlie Whitehurst, who replaced Matt Hasselbeck rather effectively, completing 22 of 36 passes for 192 yards and a touchdown.
Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch carried 20 times for 75 yards, and the the revitalized Mike Williams caught his second touchdown of the season.
Rams QB Sam Bradford, despite having a strong rookie season, had a disappointing game against a bad Seahawks pass defense. He completed only 19 of 36 attempts for 155 yards and an interception.
