Finally! Dynasty owners like myself with David Wilson on their bench have been waiting for the ultra-talented rookie to receive an opportunity to showcase what he can do. Earlier in the season he had a long touchdown run against the Browns, but because of early fumbling issues and pass protection concerns, Andre Brown moved past Wilson on the depth chart.
Brown was placed on injured reserve a few weeks back and the Giants countered by adding Kregg Lumpkin for added depth. Lumpkin saw a few snaps against the Redskins, but the Giants decided to use Ahmad Bradshaw as the teams feature back again as a response to Brown’s injury rather than working Wilson in as a committee back.
Because of an injury to Bradshaw last week, the Giants were forced into using Wilson more and the rookie responded with a huge performance. Beyond his kickoff return heroics, Wilson carried the football 13 times for 100 yards and two touchdowns.
