49ers vs. Steelers: What’s the Game Plan for Pittsburgh?

While the Pittsburgh Steelers enjoyed great success on the ground against the New England Patriots in Week 1 thanks to DeAngelo Williams, those yards will be much tougher to come by on Sunday against the visiting San Francisco 49ers, who held Minnesota Vikings star running back Adrian Peterson to just 31 yards on 10 carries in Week 1.
Williams is no Peterson, and without Maurkice Pouncey anchoring the center of the Steelers offensive line, it will make it that much harder for the Steelers to run the ball on a consistent basis against the Niners.
Enter Ben Roethlisberger, who will likely have to carry the Steelers to victory if they want to avoid a 0-2 start to the season.
