Adrian Peterson Injury: Updates on Vikings Star’s Knee and Return

Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson injured his knee during the third quarter against the Green Bay Packers in Week 2 and did not return. His official playing status against the Carolina Panthers in Week 3 has yet to be revealed.

Latest on Peterson's Timeline for Recovery  Monday, Sept. 19 Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer said Peterson "might miss a week, he might not," and the injury has "calmed down," according to Tom Pelissero of USA Today. Zimmer confirmed Peterson will undergo an MRI on his knee on Monday, according to Chris Tomasson of the Pioneer Press.
According to Jason Cole of Bleacher Report, Peterson has some ligament damage.
