Andy Reid to Miss 2016 NFL Scouting Combine After Undergoing Knee Surgery

Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid will miss the NFL Scouting Combine while he recovers from a second knee-replacement surgery, per BJ Kissel of Chiefs.com.
The combine is an important part of the offseason process when it comes to determining which prospects teams would like to focus on in the draft. More than 300 NFL hopefuls will attend the event from Feb. 23 to Feb. 29 in Indianapolis, which includes workouts, medical exams, meetings with teams and more.
Reid will remain in Kansas City, according to Kissel, and while it's not ideal for the head coach to miss the combine, the Chiefs will have plenty of representation in the form of assistant coaches and team executives. 
Of course, Reid can also review film from the combine. Head coaches already heavily rely on assistant coaches when it comes to scouting, and he should receive plenty of information and advice when the combine is over, per Sid Saraf of Fox Sports: "Well, this is the NFL, so it's next coach up...
