Antonio Cromartie To the Jets: Did New York Just Land the NFL’s Best Corner Duo?

Jay Glazer has reported via Twitter that the San Diego Chargers have officially traded cornerback Antonio Cromartie to the New York Jets for a conditional third round pick in 2011.
That's what we like to call a deal .
According to ESPN's Adam Schefter the pick can change to a second-rounder depending on how much and/or well Cromartie plays in New York.
The story on the Chargers side is that, despite Cromartie's excellent athleticism and physical abilities, his off-field issues and inconsistent on-field performance have led them to adapt "cutting their losses" feelings toward their former star corner.
While there's no arguing Cromartie's downside in terms of behavior and dedication to the game, the Jets are still inheriting a guy who registered 10 picks three seasons ago, and was still an active member of an overall defense and pass defense that finished 11th in scoring and 11th in total yards allowed through the air.
