Are the Chicago Bears Swinging for the Free Agency Fences?

With news spreading that Julius Peppers is coming to Chicago to sign a contract with the Bears, it left me wondering why they had another scheduled visit with Chester Taylor after already signing Brandon Manumaleuna and Peppers visiting?
This isn't the Chicago Bears we have all come to know and, maybe, love.
They are never front runners to sign the league's biggest offseason free agent.
They are never the team that has multiple free agents coming in to visit in hopes of signing, dare I say, all of them.
So I pose the question: Is Chester Taylor part of the free agency backup plan if they fail to sign Julius Peppers? Or are they going for it all in hopes of hitting the proverbial free agency home run?
Would they go ahead and re-sign Adewale Ogunleye and then go after Taylor to back up Matt Forte? The Bears showcased a need for a backup after the disaster that was last season's running game.
