Last season I was watching the preseason and seeing how the Packers performed got me incredibly excited.
They took on the NFC Champions, the Arizona Cardinals. And they beat them handily.
They were 38-10 by half-time, and Kurt Warner among the other starters decided to let the back-ups play. Aaron Rodgers went on to say "that's probably as good as you can possibly do in that span of time".
Watching the highlights of that game, it made me think that the Packers don't seem to have many holes in their roster. I talked to my brother Troy and he said that the Packers probably need some new guards but that was pretty much it.
I was very excited about the season. NFL.com experts were saying that they thought the Packers looked like a more complete team than the Minnesota Vikings. ESPN even had a headline on television saying "Who Needs Favre"?
My point is that I simply can't stress enough how optimistic I was for the season. Until I watched the season opener.
