Don't let the title get you wrong, Aaron Rodgers is on the Green Bay Packers, but what he did to follow a legend is simply what Derek Anderson needs to accomplish as well.
In the year following the Packers' loss of Brett Favre, Rodgers threw for 4,000 yards, with a nearly 2-to-1 ratio of TDs to INTs (28-to-13). What Rodgers did was simply amazing, surprising fans of Green Bay and giving comfort to those who had lost faith.
Derek Anderson was an offseason free-agent pickup by the Arizona Cardinals, eventually stepping on to the scene as the starter over the now-Texan Matt Leinart.
Anderson proved to Cardinals head coach Ken Whisenhunt that he still had what he delivered to the table with the Browns back in his 2007 Pro Bowl year.
With the Cardinals' loss of Kurt Warner to retirement, Derek Anderson is following in a legend's footsteps who went from bagging groceries to becoming an MVP and Super Bowl winner.
