Overview:
The Carolina Panthers dismissed John Fox as the head coach, but he will be able to finish out this season. The Panthers are the worst team in the NFL this season and have locked up the number one overall pick. They are playing for virtually nothing, as jobs from a coaching stand point are no longer up in the air and they are set to finish with the worst record in the league this season.
As fate would have it, they are taking on the best team in the NFC on Sunday, on the road. The Atlanta Falcons sit atop the NFC with a 12-3 record. Unfortunately, they still have not locked up anything. The Saints are only one game back and would overtake the Falcons with an Atlanta loss and a New Orleans victory. It seems unlikely, given the circumstances, but stranger things have happened.
