Baltimore Ravens: Ed Reed’s Brother Leaps into Mississippi River to Elude Police

When Baltimore Ravens safety Ed Reed takes the field on Sunday he may have more than the Kansas City Chiefs on his mind.
Reed's brother, Brian, is said to have jumped into the Mississippi River while fleeing police.
The Baltimore Sun reported that a member of the St. Charles Parish Sheriff's Office saw a car on the side of the road that had apparently run out of gas. The deputy, finding that the car had been reported stolen, attempted to handcuff the driver of the car. The driver fled and was seen leaping from a levee into the Mississippi River.
Reed family members spoke to New Orleans television stations and said that the man who ran from the police was Brian Reed.
Karen Reed, the mother of Ed and Brian, told local New Orleans television reporters that Brian had struggles with drugs and alcohol.
