Breaking Down Matchups in the Running Game in Super Bowl XLVII

The Baltimore Ravens and San Francisco 49ers both feature explosive running backs and talented offensive lines. While it's fashionable to say the NFL has become a passing league, the running game for either team could end up being a key factor in either team winning Super Bowl XLVII.
Whether it's Ray Rice and Bernard Pierce or Frank Gore and LaMichael James, both the Ravens and 49ers have a wide variety of skill sets to draw from out of the backfield. (And you can certainly throw Vonta Leach and Bruce Miller into that mix as well.) You can bet offensive coordinators Jim Caldwell and Greg Roman will find myriad ways to use their personnel in the run game.
In the video above, Josh Zerkle and I take a look at a few of the key matchups that we'll be watching when these teams go to their running games a week from Sunday down in New Orleans.
