Breaking Down the Steelers Schedule Part I: Weeks 1-9

The Steelers have faced a lot of adversity this offseason. While many prognosticators have chosen to use off the field incidents as a basis for predicting a bleak, non-playoff season, I see them as mostly inconsequential. Sure, we're missing Ben for 4 games (6 will not happen), but he'll be healthy and have a chip on his shoulder upon his return. Also, the bye in week 5, will allow for two full weeks of practice before his first start in order to get his timing back. The biggest key this season is that the Defense will be better than last year, and possibly the best it has been since '05. We brought back McFadden, and thus have 2 strong corners that can shut down opposing offenses. Polomalu is back and healthy, having had plenty of time to get into game shape, and with Clark at his side, they are the best safety duo around.
