Breaking News: Steelers Sign Kevin Colbert to Contract Extension.

The Pittsburgh Steelers are known for their stability with head coaches, having only three in the last 40-plus years. On Wednesday, they kept the stability of the front office, extending the contract of Director of Football Operations, Kevin Colbert.
According to Steelers.com , the Steelers have agreed to the contract extension with Colbert, that will keep him in Pittsburgh until at least 2016.
Colbert is one of the Steelers that you hear the least from, but has one of the most important jobs in the organization. Without having a General Manager, the Director of Football Operations has all the same responsibilities, just none of the glory.
In Pittsburgh, Colbert is the decision maker on who becomes a Steeler, who stays a Steeler, and who gets traded to the Jets for a fifth round pick.
