Breshad Perriman Injury: Updates on Ravens WR’s Knee and Return

Baltimore Ravens rookie wide receiver Breshad Perriman has been on the shelf for the past couple of weeks, but there is optimism that the first-round pick will be back in action soon.

Report: Perriman Expected Back in One Week Tuesday, Aug. 18 Perriman last practiced for the Ravens on July 30 due to a knee injury, according to ESPN.com's Jamison Hensley, but his absence shouldn't last much longer.
According to Bleacher Report's Jason Cole, the former Central Florida standout looks to be OK after undergoing an MRI, and he should be back on the practice field in about a week.
Perriman was expected to be a starting receiver opposite Steve Smith in 2015, but he is currently behind in terms of preparation. Because of that, Ravens head coach John Harbaugh is seemingly anxious to see quarterback Joe Flacco's new weapon back in action, per Jeff Zrebiec of the Baltimore Sun:
