Brett Favre and the Minnesota Vikings Still Can’t Win: Should Favre Be Benched?

No one could have anticipated this. The runners-up for the NFC Championship game are 1-3 and already on the hot seat for missing the playoffs.
The only good news for the Vikings so far this season is that no team in the NFC is running away with its respective division. This leaves them a chance to still win a playoff berth.
For the Vikings to win, they have to play four quarters of football, not one-and-a-half.
In a Monday Night Football loss to the New York Jets, the Vikings offensive line looked pedestrian, Brett Favre couldn't complete a pass and the run defense was the worst it's been in over four years.
Still, the Vikings had a chance to win this game and blew it for the third time this season.
Favre is living up to his legend of not being a clutch quarterback, and Brad Childress is living up to his reputation of being a predictable play-caller.
With the Vikings' offensive line getting beat up all night, conventional wisdom says that a team should run...
