By now we all know Brett Favre's annual dilemma. We know who he is. We know his career and his legacy.

Yesterday, I neglected to write about Brett Favre's retirement because it wasn't worthy. Because it wasn't news. For now, at least.

Today's news states that Favre will still play if he is healthy.

So now we don't know what to expect from him. Do we believe him? I don't think we can.

Before 2008, there was always speculation surrounding Favre's retirement. But in 2008, he made it almost official. He retired. Or so everyone thought. In reality, he came back, left the Packers and joined the Jets. Favre was in the news almost every day of that summer in 2008.

And then last year, Favre again speculated retirement. But because of years past and especially 2008, most figured he would come back. And he did, but with the Vikings.

Now, there's no denying Favre's talent. He's got it. But he's injured a lot in the offseason.
