Brett Favre To Retire, Where Does This Leave His Legacy?

In the long and twisting saga of will he play or won't he, this could be the biggest turn yet as ESPN.com is reporting that Brett Favre contacted his Minnesota Vikings teammates to tell them that "this is it."
This certainly is a surprise as nearly everyone in the media thought Favre would be back for another season in Minnesota.
Most believed Favre would return after the NFC Championship loss to the Saints where he threw an interception late in the game that ultimately swung the decision in favor of New Orleans.
No one thought that Favre would, or better yet, could go out like that but now he reportedly has.
Favre will retire from the NFL as one of the greatest quarterbacks to ever play the game.
He is the career leader in passes completed with 6,083, besting Dan Marino's second by over 1,000 completions.
