Brian Cushing Making Matters Worse by Making Excuses

In 1988, my family was devastated by the death of my dad, who died of colon cancer at the age of 68. My brother-in-law just had surgery, and we are waiting for the results, praying that he does not have the killer in his body.
Cancer is a VERY serious matter, one that is taken very seriously by most of the world. Though some people can survive cancer, most do not.
According to the American Cancer Society, in 2009, an estimated 1,480,000 people were diagnosed with cancer. A total of 562,340 people lost their lives to the disease.
There are many different forms of cancer that kill in a verity of different ways. But none of them are any good, and no one is ever happy getting the news they have it.
Cancer is something that has affected almost everyone in this country in one way or another. It is nothing to joke about and it's a topic that should be taken as seriously as any other topic that I can think of.
