The San Diego Chargers (8-6) step onto the field to face the Cincinnati Bengals (3-11) in a Week 16 match up that promises to be full of stories.
On one hand, you have the Bengals. After winning the AFC North last year and signing Terrell Owens in the off season, many predicted them to go even further than just the division title. Instead, the Bengals have imploded, and many are starting to call for Marvin Lewis' job.
On the other hand, you have the San Diego Chargers, who find themselves in the same situation they have been in every year under Norv Turner. After stumbling out of the gate to a 2-5 start, the Chargers have won seven of their last eight, and are now only one game behind AFC West leading Kansas City.
Both teams need this win for different reasons.
The Chargers need it to stay alive in the AFC West (and possibly to save Norv Turner's job).
The Bengals want to salvage some dignity and really figure out what they need to address in the off season.
