Chicago Bears: Where Do The Bears Have The Biggest Advantage?
The Chicago Bears have a high-profile playmaker on special teams, Devin Hester.
As a result of Hester's league-wide reputation for returning kicks for touchdowns, some Bears opponents have consciously tried to kick the ball as far away from Hester as possible.
“There's a lot of hidden yardage there,” quarterback Jay Cutler told the Daily Herald. “Even when they kick it out of bounds or kick it away from him, you're changing field position, you're making it harder on their defense.”
The Daily Herald says that the Bears' biggest advantage in the NFC title game is special teams and will need to find gets results from that unit.
“We definitely need to be the way we've been (all season) with our returns,” coach Lovie Smith said.“We've won games that way, and it could come down to that for us. We need to get some production out of it.”
