Chris Ivory ‘Nicked Up’ in New Orleans Saints’ Win on Sunday Night

With running backs Reggie Bush and Pierre Thomas out for Sunday’s 20-10 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Saints were less than balanced offensively, and that balance may have taken yet another blow.
According to the New Orleans Times-Picayune, Saints running back Chris Ivory was “nicked-up” in Sunday’s game and was unable to finish the game.
The Saints mounted just 30 yards on the ground in the win, rendering them one-dimensional. Julius Jones led the team with 16 rushing yards.
It’s a good thing Drew Brees showed up for the second half with 191 yards and two fourth-quarter touchdowns, otherwise there would be a lot more Monday morning quarterback talk about the lack of a run game in New Orleans.
Ivory will be evaluated during the week, and his injury does not look like it will cause too much trouble moving forward. Bush and Thomas will also be evaluated this week as the Saints prepare to face the 2-5 Panthers next Sunday in Caroli...
