Chris Ivory vs. Bilal Powell: Latest Updates on Jets’ RB Battle

The cacophony of unpleasant news surrounding the New York Jets' offense seems to be continuing with regard to the running back battle between Chris Ivory and Bilal Powell.
According to the depth chart on the team's official website as of Tuesday, the 2011 fourth-round pick Powell is listed ahead of Ivory in the starting slot at the position. The folks at Rotoworld.com caught the noteworthy detail.
Incidentally, it was a fourth-round draft choice that the Jets sent to the New Orleans Saints in order to acquire Ivory in a trade back in April. Ivory is a physical runner who seems to fit the mold of head coach Rex Ryan's preferred style of offense, the ground-and-pound.
GM John Idzik even called Ivory a "violent" runner at the time the deal was made, but that type of downhill demeanor has its consequences.  
A hamstring strain forced Ivory out for much of training camp and the preseason, and he also went on injured reserve with the Saints due to a foot injury ...
