There's a saying in the NFL that there's no offseason. Given all the news and turmoil surrounding the league in June in the wake of the Aaron Hernandez arrest, that certainly seemed to be the case last month.
However, the latest "scandal" that has enveloped an NFL player gives one the idea that maybe, just maybe, folks are a little too hard up for a football fix right now.
You see, the "scandal" involves a hat.
