Colin Kaepernick Passes Robert Griffin III as NFL’s Best-Selling Jersey

San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick is unquestionably one of the fastest-rising stars in the NFL. Football fans have taken notice, as his No. 7 jersey was the highest-selling one on NFLShop.com from April 1 through June 30, according to the league's Joanna Hunter, via CNBC.
After being taken in the second round of the 2011 NFL draft by the Niners (pick No. 36 out of Nevada), Kaepernick burst onto the scene last year. When starter Alex Smith went down with a concussion in Week 10, Kaepernick stepped in and never relinquished the starting job.
Kaepernick was a dual-threat weapon for the 49ers during the regular season, but he truly took his game to another level during the playoffs. In three starts, Kaepernick put up more than 1,000 total yards and seven touchdowns. He and the Niners fell just short of winning the Super Bowl, as the Baltimore Ravens were able to hang on 34-31.
