Daily Haze: Reggie Bush Out, Chris Ivory In?

The Saints offense, already short on running backs heading into the 2010 season, lost Reggie Bush on Monday night for what could be six weeks at least.
Bush broke a bone in his lower leg after recovering a muffed punt against the 49ers. Had Bush caught the ball cleanly, the Saints and fantasy owners would not be without Bush's services for the next month-and-a-half.
With Bush out, Pierre Thomas gets a huge boost in fantasy value. There is not another Bush on this team, meaning Thomas will replace him in a lot of the packages the Saints designed for the versatile Bush. Much to Thomas fantasy owners' chagrin, Bush also saw a lot of work in the red zone.
However, fantasy owners will have to compete with 2010 preseason hero Chris Ivory. In four preseason games, Ivory amassed 222 total yards of offense (although his receiving yards—76— came on one play) with two touchdowns. He certainly is no Bush.
