Daily Haze: So Much for All That Bernard Scott Hype

When Cedric Benson was busted by police a few weeks ago, it was not his first run-in with the law. Surely the NFL would come down hard on him, I thought.
Being that Benson had previously in trouble, a four-game suspension would not have been out of the question. That sound I heard was the Bernard Scott fantasy hype train starting to roll.
Turns out it did not get very far.
According to Adam Schefter, Benson will avoid any discipline from commissioner Roger Goodell. No suspension means he will start the season as the team's starting running back, keeping Scott on the shelf for the moment.
I think fantasy should expect, however, to see the Bengals incorporate Scott more into the offense this season. He was a rookie last year, and Benson played so well that it was hard to get him off the field. But Scott should be used more this season as a complement to Benson's style, and to keep Benson fresh down the line.
