Dallas Cowboys: Advantage Shifts to Andre Holmes; Danny Coale Injured

The Dallas Cowboys started OTA's on Tuesday and the battle for the third receiver spot has already produced its first plot twist. Danny Coale was seen leaving the team's MRI facility on crutches, having suffered a foot injury.
ESPN has reported that Coale broke his foot and will require surgery, which is scheduled for later this week. Coale will miss the rest of the offseason and possibly the first part of training camp.
Andre Holmes is now guaranteed more reps in practice.
Holmes already has a few things working in his favor:
He's been with the team since the beginning of last season, albeit on the practice squad.
He was called up by the team and signed at the end of the year to make sure no other teams signed him away from Dallas—a vote of confidence in itself.
He was tabbed to play the role of Calvin Johnson last year during preparations for the Detroit game—giving him an opportunity to spotlight his size and speed.
