Danny Amendola Injury: Updates on Patriots Star’s Knee, Ankle and Return

New England Patriots wide receiver Danny Amendola is in recovery after undergoing knee surgery and having bone spurs removed from his ankle this offseason.

Amendola Comments on Health and 2016 Outlook Tuesday, June 28 In an interview on ESPN's NFL Insiders, Amendola spoke about the operations he underwent that caused him to miss minicamps.
"I feel really good. I had a couple minor procedures done after the season," Amendola told Wendi Nix (via ESPN.com's Mike Reiss). Amendola added, "Everybody knows how long the season can be. I wanted to go into next season feeling as fresh and ready as I can."
This is a concerning setback for Amendola and the Patriots considering durability has always been an issue for the wide receiver. He played one game in 2011, 11 games in 2012 and 12 games in 2013. Although, he was a steady presence on the field the past two years, when he appeared in 30 of a possible 32 regular-season contests.
